Saturday February 9th 2008 saw almost 500 people take to the streets to protest about the projected closure of Warton Street Post Office. The march from the Post Office to Lytham Windmill took place on a sunny day and was attended by the press and TV crews from around the region. Local MP Michael Jack addressed the crowds. If you want to help stop the projected closure please write giving your reasons to Richard Lynds or email him at consultation@postoffice.co.uk All letters or emails must be received by 3rd March if they are to be taken into account. |
