To protect and preserve for the benefit of the townspeople of Lytham (and its environs) in the borough of Fylde, Lancashire and of the nation at large, whatever of the historical, architectural and constructional heritage may exist in or around Lytham (and its environs) in the form of buildings or landscape of particular beauty or historical, architectural or constructional interest and to enhance public awareness of the desirability or need for any new urban development to be in keeping with the special character and scale of Lytham.
To enhance public awareness of the effect on the sustainability of the local, nature and urban environment of any part of Lytham by any development which is considered by the Trust to be detrimental.
To protect the Lytham flood plains which provide a home to a wide variety of wildlife and as such, are recognised as being of outstanding importance both nationally and internationally and to advance the education of the public as to the habitats, ecology and the environmental needs of such wildlife.
To encourage and promote the provision of excellent educational, health and community facilities in Lytham for the public benefit.
